1. Parties and Personalized Quote
This Agreement is between the customer identified in the applicable quote or Stripe checkout record (the Customer) and Amandeep Kaur, sole proprietor carrying on business as One Less Thing Dog Waste Removal ("One Less Thing").
If a customer-specific detail in the Personalized Quote differs from a general statement in this Agreement, the Personalized Quote controls that customer-specific detail. These standing terms control all other matters.
2. Enrollment and Agreement Acceptance
Enrollment is not complete and a route position is not confirmed until the Customer has accepted this Agreement, provided a valid payment method, and the required starting payment has been successfully processed.
One Less Thing will make an electronic copy of this Agreement available to the Customer. The version displayed and accepted during checkout applies to the enrollment, together with the Customer's Personalized Quote.
3. Recurring Service
Service Frequencies
Recurring service is offered once weekly, twice weekly, or on an individually agreed biweekly plan, as shown in the Personalized Quote. The Customer receives assigned route days, but no exact arrival time is guaranteed.
Included Service
One Less Thing will search the agreed outdoor service area for reasonably visible and accessible dog waste. We double-bag collected waste and leave it in your designated outdoor bin or agreed location. If no bin or other location has been arranged, we leave it beside the garage or outside the gate leading to the backyard and note the location in your completion email. Service equipment is sanitized between properties.
Base Service Conditions
The quoted price is based on the service address and route, the number of dogs, yard size, service frequency, expected buildup, and other conditions identified during quoting. Unless the Personalized Quote says otherwise, the base price covers a residential cleanup area under one-half acre.
If conditions materially differ from the information used to prepare the quote, One Less Thing will explain any proposed change and obtain the Customer's approval before applying an additional charge or revising ongoing service.
4. Yard Reset and Individual Offers
The Personalized Quote identifies any initial Yard Reset, its charge, and any individually agreed discount or complimentary service. No complimentary first week or initial cleanup is automatically included. Previously accepted offers remain honoured exactly as quoted.
5. Pricing and Payment Authorization
Starting Payment
The starting payment covers the paid recurring visits remaining before the first full monthly billing date, together with any separately approved charge. The amount and covered service period appear in the Personalized Quote and checkout or invoice summary.
Fixed Monthly Billing
Recurring pricing is annualized and billed as a fixed monthly amount in advance. Once-weekly pricing is based on 52 scheduled visits per year divided into 12 monthly payments. Twice-weekly pricing is based on 104 scheduled visits per year divided into 12 monthly payments. The same regular monthly amount applies even when a calendar month contains an additional scheduled visit.
Permission to Keep the Payment Method on File and Charge It
The Customer expressly authorizes One Less Thing and its secure payment provider, Stripe, to securely store and keep on file the payment method supplied during enrollment. The Customer authorizes One Less Thing to use that saved payment method for the starting payment and for automatic off-session charges of the regular recurring amount, plus taxes required by law, on the first of each month.
This authorization is limited to the amounts and recurring service described in the Personalized Quote and any later change confirmed in writing under this Agreement. The Customer may update the payment method through the Stripe Customer Portal or by contacting One Less Thing for assistance.
Taxes
Taxes will be charged only when required by law and will be shown separately or identified as included, as applicable, before payment is completed.
Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails, cleanups are temporarily suspended while Stripe automatically retries the payment. If payment is successfully collected before the end of the 15-day window following the first failed payment, service resumes on the next scheduled visit. We’ll include the cleanup missed during the suspension at no extra cost.
If payment remains unsuccessful at the end of that window, the subscription ends.
6. Price and Service Changes
Price Changes
Your price stays locked in while your subscription is active. Customer-requested changes to the service arrangement are handled as described below. Taxes required by law may be added separately.
Frequency, Dog-Count, or Property Changes
The Customer must promptly report changes to the number of dogs, service area, access conditions, or other information used to prepare the quote. Frequency changes are subject to route availability. One Less Thing will confirm any revised service and price in writing before the change takes effect. Any additional current-period amount must be paid before added service begins; an approved reduction may be applied as a credit toward the next monthly payment.
7. Scheduling and Interruptions
Weather, Holidays, and Unsafe Conditions
Recurring service is billed monthly. If weather, unsafe conditions or unavailable access prevent a cleanup, the monthly amount stays the same and we collect the accumulated waste on the next service date. A missed one-time cleanup is rescheduled. One Less Thing may arrange an alternate date where practical. Repeated interruptions caused by One Less Thing are reviewed individually with the Customer.
Customer-Requested Skipped Visits
A skipped visit requested by the Customer does not receive a credit or refund because the recurring route position remains reserved.
8. Access and Customer Responsibilities
Outdoor Access Authorization
The Customer authorizes One Less Thing and its personnel to enter the designated outdoor service area on scheduled service days. The Customer does not need to be home. This authorization does not include entry into the residence, garage, shed, or another building unless separately agreed in writing.
Safe and Unobstructed Access
The Customer is responsible for providing safe, unobstructed access and keeping gate codes and instructions current. If a gate is locked, access is blocked, or the property cannot be entered safely, One Less Thing will contact the Customer. The monthly amount remains unchanged; no separate missed-visit charge is added. Accumulated waste is collected at the next service.
Dogs
We love meeting your dogs. Keeping them indoors or comfortably separated usually helps us give your yard our full attention. If that doesn’t work for your household, including homes with dog-door access, let us know before your first visit. We’re happy to discuss an arrangement that works for your dogs, their humans and our team.
Any exception must be agreed before the visit. Reactive, aggressive or protective dogs must remain safely separated. Staff may decline to enter or stop service if they feel unsafe, even where an arrangement was previously discussed.
Gates, Fences, Hazards, and Obstacles
The Customer must disclose known defects and hazards that could affect safe service. One Less Thing may refuse or stop work where conditions create a safety or escape risk. One Less Thing is not required to move furniture, equipment, heavy or fragile objects, sharp items, or anything that could reasonably cause injury or damage.
9. Yard Conditions and Accessible Waste
One Less Thing will remove waste that is reasonably visible and accessible. Waste concealed by snow, long grass, leaves, debris, objects, or similar conditions will be collected during the next regular visit after it becomes visible and accessible. The earlier visit is not eligible for a credit on this basis.
One Less Thing will make reasonable efforts to remove waste frozen to the ground. Waste that cannot be safely removed without risking property damage will be collected during a later visit once conditions allow. An unsafe area may be left unserviced. The regular monthly amount remains unchanged.
10. Missed-Area Correction
Please let us know within 24 hours if we missed visible, accessible waste. For weekly and twice-weekly service, we will usually address it at the next cleanup. For one-time or biweekly service, we will arrange a return visit. This does not cover new waste deposited after the visit or waste that was concealed or inaccessible during service. Correction of genuinely missed waste is provided at no additional charge.
11. Cancellation
To stop your next renewal, complete cancellation by 11:59 PM on the day before your next billing date. Service continues through the period already paid, including an agreed six-month prepaid term. There is no cancellation fee or standard refund for unused prepaid service, except where required by law.
Use Account Management and retain the cancellation confirmation. If the online cancellation option is unavailable for the Customer's plan, contact One Less Thing by email or phone; the timestamp of the original request determines when notice was received. Nothing in this Agreement restricts a statutory cancellation method, refund or other right that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. One Less Thing's Right to Refuse, Suspend, or End Service
One Less Thing may refuse, suspend, or end service immediately where there is a safety threat, abusive or harassing behaviour, illegal activity, or a seriously hazardous condition. One Less Thing may provide reasonable notice when ending service for another service-related reason.
If One Less Thing ends service before the paid period is complete, it will refund the value of future uncompleted visits. Visits already completed, attempted, or prevented by the Customer are not refundable.
13. Property Condition and Responsibility
One Less Thing will address property damage caused by its negligence. One Less Thing is not responsible for pre-existing damage, ordinary wear, or loss or damage resulting from unsafe, defective, undisclosed, or improperly maintained property conditions. Nothing in this Agreement limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Photographs and Privacy
One Less Thing may take limited photographs of the service area for operational purposes, such as documenting conditions or completed service. Operational photographs will not be published for marketing.
One Less Thing will not feature a Customer, pet, identifying property information, or service-address details in marketing without the applicable permission. Any optional marketing permission is separate from acceptance of this Agreement and may be declined or withdrawn without affecting service.
15. Notices, Changes, and Governing Law
Notices may be delivered using the email address or mobile number provided by the Customer and the contact details listed below. The Customer is responsible for keeping their contact information current.
A customer-specific change to service, price, frequency, dog count, service address, route day, or designated service area will be confirmed in writing before it takes effect.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The Personalized Quote, these terms, and any later written change accepted by both parties form the complete agreement for recurring service.
